Barry,
boys and staff.
Just a short note to let you know that my wife, Carol and I have just
completed our first big trip in our new Cross Country Van, pulled by
a 75 Series Cruiser diesel ute. The trip started at the Sunshine Coast
on 9.6.04, up the coast as far as Cairns across the Savannah Way to
Karumba and then down through the centre of Qld., Longreach, Emerald,
Roma, Chinchilla, Dalby and then across to the coast home.
All up a distance of about 7000ks. was completed and the van and ute,
although heavy, performed fantastic. We averaged about 5kl/ltr and had
a wonderful time with a number of off-road camps. The solar power, big
230litre fridge, washing machine and all other aspects of the van performed
great.
During the trip we came into contact with a number of other Kedron owners,
and all apart from one (who appeared to be a professional whinger),
raved about their vans, as did we.
There are a large number of people on the roads with vans travelling
this great country of ours, but two things that I did notice that did
disturb me, being a bushy, was the amount of people towing big vans
with underpowered vehicles not suited for the terrain, and with no communication
radio contact. Perhaps the dealers could assist these people when they
are purchasing their vans about these things.
On our return, I contacted the factory and booked the van in to have
a couple of minor problems rectified and to also put a third water tank
under as we did find that off road, two tanks was not enough. Barry,
all these maters were completed by your boys and other staff members
in a most professional, but very friendly manner, and to our satisfaction.
We have owned a number of other vans over the past 15 years, but none
can come anywhere near the Kedron Cross Country. The build quality and
friendly service, both whilst purchasing and after sales has been second
to none.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to any other tips and future
destinations advice in the future. PS Keep David out of the boxing ring
and kids motor bikes.
All the best for the future.
